New to Elite? Welcome.

What your first appointment looks like, what to bring and how we make it easy if dentists make you nervous.

What happens at the first visit?

  • 01

    Arrive five minutes early

Complete a short medical history form at reception, or before you come.

  • 02

    A conversation first

We talk through your history, concerns and goals in the consult room before you sit in the chair.

  • 03

    Examination and clean

A full check of teeth, gums and bite, X-rays when needed, and a scale and polish if time allows.

  • 04

    A written plan

Options, timings and itemised fees, explained before you leave and emailed to you afterwards.

What should I bring?

  • Proof of any NHS charge exemption, if you have one
  • Dental insurance or plan details, if you have cover
  • A list of any medicines you take, including blood thinners
  • Any recent X-rays from another dentist, if you have them
  • Glasses if you need them to read your treatment plan

Nervous about the dentist?

You are in good company. Tell us when you book and we will allow extra time, explain every step before it happens and agree a stop signal. Noise-cancelling headphones and a weighted blanket are there if you want them.

Common questions

Allow an hour. That covers a conversation, a full examination, any X-rays needed and usually a clean.
